Starter Packs

These kits are an ideal introduction to the PICAXE way of programming and problem solving. The kits include:

• tutorial board with the PICAXE device and other components
• download cable to connect to the PC for transferring the program to the chip
• CD with examples and exercises

PICAXE-18 Tutorial Kit AXE050

A PICAXE-18 tutorial kit. Includes tutorial board, download cable, and CDROM with manuals and tutorial exercises.

The control board has:

PICAXE-08 Starter Pack AXE003

The PICAXE-08 Pack includes a self assembly proto board, all components required, download cable and a CDROM with software and manuals

PICAXE-18 Starter Pack AXE002

The PICAXE-18 Pack includes project board, download cable and CDROM with software and manuals. This board is pre-assembled.

The project board uses a darlington driver chip (red component in figure)  that has 8 outputs.
 

PICAXE-28A Starter Pack AXE001

The PICAXE-28 Pack includes project board, download cable and CDROM with software and manuals.
 

The 28-pin project board is designed to allow rapid prototyping with 28-pin microcontrollers.

The board provides connections for

• eight digital inputs,
• four analogue inputs and
• eight digital outputs.

Each of the outputs is driven through a darlington driver, which will drive upto 800mA per output. Ribbon cables with connectors are also included, which enable easy interfacing to the board. Space is provided on the board for adding an optional motor driver IC, through which DC motors can be controlled with forward/reverse directional control.

PICAXE Experimenter Kit AXE090

Starter pack designed for the hobbyist for PICAXE experiments. 18A supplied, but supports all PICAXE sizes. Large breadboarding area for testing and in-built input/output devices.

Note: This is a kit and the user must solder components.
